Eagles Bigs

The Philadelphia Eagles and Big Brothers Big Sisters Southeastern PA (BBBS SEPA) have teamed up to combat one of the largest problems facing Chester, Delaware, Philadelphia and Montgomery counties.  The challenge - a chronic shortage of men willing to help mentor neighborhood boys in need of role models.

BBBS SEPA matches more than 4,000 children (Little Brothers and Little Sisters) annually with adults who volunteer to be mentors (Big Brothers and Big Sisters).  80% of these children are young boys, but only three out of 10 interested volunteers are male.  That’s why BBBS and the Eagles are asking men to become part of the EaglesBigs program.

A problem this size requires a “Big” solution, but remember, you don’t have to change your life to change the life of a boy.

The Need

• Meet with a boy in your area two to four times each month for at least one year
  
• Be yourself! Video games, sports or hanging out are just a couple of the fun and easy things to do together
• We provide free and low-cost activities for Bigs
• Mentoring isn’t about spending money, it's about spending time together
